Announcing Artica Listens 2021
We are pleased to announce that artist Ignas Krunglevičius has been selected for the third annual Artica Listens event in 2021. The event in September will feature a major solo presentation of new work from the artist in Longyearbyen, Svalbard.

It is our residency artist Line Prip’s last few days with us here in Longyearbyen. During Line’s stay she has been researching and testing out new ideas working with snow and ice formations which she hopes to continue to develop.

Solfestuka: Sun-paper & Collage Workshop Photo Gallery
A big thank you to all the children and parents that attended our Sun-paper & Collage Workshop as part of Solfestuka 2021. During the workshop the children learned about light sensitive cyanotype paper and used this along with collage techniques to make their own sun themed pictures to celebrate the sun returning to Longyearbyen.

Stein Henningsen’s ‘The Boat’ opens at Galleri Svalbard
A new exhibition entitled The Boat by Svalbard based artist Stein Henningsen opens this Sunday 7th March at Galleri Svalbard.
Henningsen has been working at the Artica workshop on a new body of prints for the exhibition which will run until May 15th.
