A big thank you to all the children and parents that attended our Sun-paper & Collage Workshop as part of Solfestuka 2021. During the workshop the children learned about light sensitive cyanotype paper and used this along with collage techniques to make their own sun themed pictures to celebrate the sun returning to Longyearbyen.

Artica Svalbard are pleased to share the annual report for 2020.

A new exhibition entitled The Boat by Svalbard based artist Stein Henningsen opens this Sunday 7th March at Galleri Svalbard.

Henningsen has been working at the Artica workshop on a new body of prints for the exhibition which will run until May 15th.

Professor emeritus in journalism at Oslo Met and former Artica resident Rune Ottosen has written an essay series entitled 'Svalbard Under Pressure' which is to be published on Forsvarets forum.
