Tiina Kivinen
Tiina Kivinen is a visual artist and printmaker based in Finland. She was the first person to receive the Queen Sonja Print Award in 2012. She has held solo exhibitions in Dalslands konstmuseum, Sweden (2016), Kunstverket galleri, Oslo (2013) and Galerie Arktika, Marktoberdorf, Germany (2011) as well as several solo exhibitions in Finland. Her work has been presented at many international group shows over the last twenty years. Most recently at The London Original Print Fair, Royal Academy of Arts (2016), the 20. Triennale Grenchen, Switzerland (2015) and Triennale européenne de léstampe contemporaine, France (2013), as well as the FIG, Bilbao, Spain (2013).
During her residency Kivinen hosted an artist talk event for local residents where she shared a film and works in progress of her ongoing project linking Svalbard to the forests of Finland.
