Thank You for Joining Us: Endre Harvold Kvangraven at Longyearbyen Litteraturfestival

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended Endre Harvold Kvangraven’s talk, "Fugler i nyere norsk litteratur", during the Longyearbyen Litteraturfestival last week. The discussion was a wonderful exploration of the portrayal of birds in contemporary Norwegian literature.

A special thank you to the incredible team at the Longyearbyen Litteraturfestival for organising this event, and to Norsk faglitterær forfatter- og oversetterforening (NFFO) for nominating Endre for his residency at Artica Svalbard.

Endre is a writer, researcher, and wildlife enthusiast, currently in residence from July to September 2024 at Artica Svalbard. He holds a PhD in Nordic Literature from the University of Stavanger. His previous book, Ulv i det norske kulturlandskapet (Res Publica, 2021), traces the role of wolves in Norwegian cultural history. During his residency, he is working on a new book about birds.
