New board member appointed for the Artica Svalbard Foundation
The Ministry of Culture and the Fritt Ord Foundation have appointed a new board member for the Artica Svalbard Foundation, Susanne Kaluza, CEO of the House of Literature Foundation in Oslo.
Susanne Kaluza is CEO of the House of Literature Foundation in Oslo, the largest of its kind in Europe which works to spread knowledge, literature and freedom of speech. Every year the House of Literature hosts 1700 events alongside producing podcasts and videos in both Norwegian and English. Previously Susanne worked as editor in chief, a CSR advisor, as head of a gender equality initiative, she was a journalist for 10 years at the national newspaper Dagbladet and has authored 5 books. Her latest book Hvorfor har vi ikke president i Norge is a children’s book about democracy and was nominated for the Cultural departments National book Award. Kaluza sits as director of the board at Drammen Scener and as board member for KOK Norge, Stiftelsen Nok, Talerlisten and Stiftelsen Ingrid Aunes Minnefond. She has been awarded several prizes for her work.
