Kristin Folsland Olsen

Kristin Folsland Olsen (b. 1981) lives in Kabelvåg, Lofoten and works as a writer, photographer and lecturer. She has written several non-fiction books, including "Turguide Lofoten”. Kristin is passionate about the arctic wilderness. She has carried out a number of skiing expeditions on Svalbard, Greenland, Baffin Island and South Georgia. Kristin works multimedial and uses both text and photography in her communication. She is keen to seek deep and genuine contact with nature, and not just see it as a backdrop. This also appears in her works.

Kristin Folsland Olsen (f. 1981) bor i Kabelvåg i Lofoten og jobber som forfatter, fotograf og foredragsholder. Hun har skrevet flere sakprosabøker, deriblant “Turguide Lofoten”. Kristin har gjennomført en rekke skiekspedisjoner på Svalbard, Grønland, Baffin Island og Sør-Georgia. Hjertet hennes banker ekstra sterkt for den arktiske villmarken. Olsen arbeider multimedialt og bruker både tekst og fotografi i sin formidling. Hun er opptatt av å søke dyp og ekte kontakt med naturen, og ikke bare se på den som en kulisse. Dette fremkommer også i hennes arbeider.
