Welcoming Artica’s first resident of 2023: Maritea Dæhlin

We are very pleased to welcome Artica’s first resident of 2023: Maritea Dæhlin

Dæhlin is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Norway and Mexico. She is interested in human behaviours, emotions, rituals and encounters. Her work spans between theatre, video performance, performance art and text. Her art comes off as playful, non-linear and sometimes absurd. Dæhlin was an associated artist at Black Box theatre (2020-2021). Her work has been nominated for the Norwegian critic’s prize (2020) and for the Heddapris (2022).

You can find out more about Maritea and all the upcoming residents here.

Maritea Dæhlin has been nominated by our key partner Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum for the residency. She will be staying in Longyearbyen with her family until March.
