Announcing new residency and studio coordinator

Artica are pleased to announce that Lisa Bakk Bøen will be joining the team in January 2022 as the new residency and studio coordinator. There were 47 applications for the position and the director and board are confident that Lisa is the right candidate for Artica Svalbard.

Lisa Bakk Bøen is from Gvarv, Midt-Telemark, she is currently living and working in Oslo, where she has been for 11 years. Having studied Literature Science at University of Oslo and Library and Information Science at Oslo Metropolitan University College, Bakk Bøen started working at Oslo Public Library Deichman in 2013. This position offered the opportunity to experience different roles at Deichman throughout the years: librarian, producer, booking manager, communications, and in recent years managing director for Furuset bibliotek og aktivitetshus and project manager for a large youth festival. Lisa’s experience draws from many different fields, both on a managing administrative level and an executive, practical level. Alongside this Lisa has worked as a tour manager for artists from music, dance and performance, she brings years of experience working with artists from different art fields and a variety of institutions, organisations and foundations of different shapes and sizes. We are very excited to have Lisa on board at Artica, where she will work closely with our residents, partners and local community.
