Workshop: Creative Printmaking with Kirsty Banks & Marieke ten Berge

  • Artica Svalbard Vei 608-3 LONGYEARBYEN Norway (map)

Join artists Kirsty Banks and Marieke ten Berge for a hands-on printmaking workshop at Artica Svalbard.
This session introduces two exciting techniques—dry needle etching on tetra packs and mono-printing with various materials. These accessible and versatile methods allow for playful experimentation, and the results will certainly surprise you!

Please bring:

  • Tetra packs, washed and cut open to make a flat printing surface (milk cartons work well)

  • Work wear (we can provide aprons)

  • Ideas for your prints- images on your phone or drawings work well

About the Artists

  • Kirsty Banks is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the Arctic landscape, particularly sea ice around the Svalbard archipelago. She frequently incorporates printmaking techniques, such as mono-printing, within her textile practice.
